김희철
지휘자 김희철은 현재 조지아센츄럴대학교 음악대학 학장으로 재직 중이며, 2015년 제주도 음악재단법인 천송재단을 설립하여 제주국제합창축제&심포지엄과 제주세계청소년합창축제&경연대회를 시작하였다. 그는 두 합창축제의 예술총감독으로 활동하며, 국내,외 다양하고 전문적인 합창단들을 초청하여 합창심포지엄과 함께 전문적인 합창교육과 메시지가 있는 합창음악을 사회에 보급하려 노력하고 있다. 2018년부터 시작된 제주세계청소년합창축제는 국내,외 어린이,청소년합창단들의 합창을 통한 문화교류와 연주를 통한 자아성취를 도모하고 있다.
유학 후 귀국하여 월드비전선명회합창단의 상임지휘자를 맡아 2015년까지 1,000회가 넘는 연주를 통해 그의 음악적인 부분을 인정받았으며, 특히 현재까지도 그는 어린이와 청소년들의 합창을 통한 교육의 중요성을 홍보하는데 앞장서서 활동하고 있다.
2015년까지 월드비전세계합창제 음악감독으로 활동하며, 수 많은 국내,외 연주와 세미나를 통해 합창교육이 얼마나 중요한지 알리고 있다. 제주에서 2017년에 재단법인 천송재단 소속 천송어린이합창단을 창단하여 예술 감독으로 활동하고 있다.
이 외에도 그는 2003년부터 2018년까지 과천시립여성합창단의 지휘자로 국내 작곡가들과 함께 여러 장의 음반 및 영상을 제작하였고 국내 아마추어 여성합창단들에게 보급하여 한국여성합창 발전에도 기여하였다.
또한, 중앙대학교 음악대학 겸임교수 외 여러 대학의 강사로써 후학 양성에 힘썼으며, 2015년부터 2016년까지는 중국 상하이청소년합창단의 객원 지휘자로 활동하였고, 항저우의 AIYUE 어린이합창단과 여성합창단의 객원지휘자로도 활동하였다. 2019년부터 심양대학교 음악대학 교수를 역임하였으며, 중국에서는 현재까지도 초,중학교 선생을 대상으로 한 합창세미나를 정기적으로 개최하여 강사로써도 활동하고 있다.
현재 그는 제주국제합창축제&심포지엄 예술총감독, 제주세계청소년합창축제&경연대회 예술총감독, 중국 대련외국어대학교 석좌교수, 롯데문화재단 이사, 한국합창총연합회 부회장, 한국교회음악협회 이사, 웅스콰이어 지휘자, 유나이티드싱어즈 음악감독, 재단법인 천송재단 이사장, 유네스코제주협회 부회장, 명성교회 지휘자이며, 2019년 남한의 청소년과 탈북 청소년을 함께 구성하여 코리아청소년합창단을 창단하며 ‘평화의 메시지를 노래를 통해 나눈다‘는 사명을 갖고 지휘자로도 활동하고 있다.

Hee-Churl Kim
Heechurl Kim is a Dean of School of Music at Georgia Central University in the United States.
He established ChunSong Foundation, which is a music foundation in Jeju, and began to hold Jeju International Choir Festival & Symposium and World Youth Choral Festival & Competition in Jeju. As artistic director of both choral festivals, he works hard to invite various and professional choirs from Korea and abroad and to spread out the professional choral education and choral music which including messages through the choral symposium to the society. World Youth Choral Festival & Competition in Jeju, which held since 2018, has the purpose of cultural exchange through choral music and self-fulfillment through performances of children and youth choirs form Korea and abroad.
After he studied abroad, he worked as the conductor of World Vision Korea Children's Choir until 2015. He was recognized his musical ability through having more than 1,000 performances and he is still leading out to publicize the importance of education through choral music for children and youth. He also worked as the artistic director for World Vision Korea Children's Choral Festival until 2015 and has been publicized the importance of choral education through performances and seminar/workshops in abroad. In Jeju, he founded Chun-Song Children's Choir which is included in Chun-Song Foundation and working as the artistic director of the choir.
Besides, he contributed on Korea women's choral music through publishing records and videos which made with Korean composers' music for amateur women's choir.
Also, he trained younger students and conductors as professor of Chung-Ang University music school and others. From 2015 to 2016, he performed as the guest conductor of Shanghai Youth Choir and Hangzhou AIYUE Children's Choir and Women's Choir. Since 2019, he served as a professor of School of Music at Shenyang University in China and he still holds choral seminars for music teachers of elementary and middle school regularly and worked as the lecturer in China.
Currently, he is the artistic director of Jeju International Choir Festival & Symposium, artistic director of World Youth Choral Festival & Competition in Jeju, chair professor of Dalian University of Foreign Languages, board member of Lotte Foundation for Arts, vice-president of Korea Federation for Choral Music, board member of Korea Church Music Association, conductor of Woong's Choir, music director of United Singers, chairman of Chun-Song Foundation, vice-president of UNESCO Jeju association, and choir conductor of Myungsung church. In 2019, he gathered youth from South Korea and North Korea and founded Korea Youth Choir with the purpose of sharing message of peace through singing.
